15until the Spirit is poured on us from on high,and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field,and the fruitful field is considered a forest.16Then justice will dwell in the wilderness;and righteousness will remain in the fruitful field.17The work of righteousness will be peace,and the effect of righteousness, quietness and confidence forever.18My people will live in a peaceful habitation,in safe dwellings,and in quiet resting places,

9I will hear what God, the Lord, will speak,for he will speak peace to his people, his saints;but let them not turn again to folly.10Surely his salvation is near those who fear him,that glory may dwell in our land.11Mercy and truth meet together.Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.12Truth springs out of the earth.Righteousness has looked down from heaven.13Yes, the Lord will give that which is good.Our land will yield its increase.14Righteousness goes before him,and prepares the way for his steps.

4Now there are various kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit.5There are various kinds of service, and the same Lord.6There are various kinds of workings,but the same God who works all things in all.7But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the profit of all.8For to one is given through the Spirit the word of wisdom,and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit,9to another faith by the same Spirit,and to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,10and to another workings of miracles,and to another prophecy,and to another discerning of spirits,to another different kinds of languages,and to another the interpretation of languages.11But the one and the same Spirit produces all of these,distributing to each one separately as he desires.

1Seeing the multitudes, he went up onto the mountain.When he had sat down, his disciples came to him.2He opened his mouth and taught them, saying,

3“Blessed are the poor in spirit,for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.4Blessed are those who mourn,for they shall be comforted.5Blessed are the gentle,for they shall inherit the earth.6Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,for they shall be filled.7Blessed are the merciful,for they shall obtain mercy.8Blessed are the pure in heart,for they shall see God.9Blessed are the peacemakers,for they shall be called children of God.10Blessed are those who have been persecuted for righteousness’ sake,for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.

11“Blessed are you when people reproach you,persecute you,and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake.12Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad,for great is your reward in heaven.For that is how they persecuted the prophetswho were before you.
