Lent 2045 England

From Wednesday, 22 February 2045 to Saturday, 1 April 2045. The Sunday readings are from Year B, the weekdays from Year I (why).

Lent runs from Ash Wednesday until the Mass of the Lord’s Supper on Holy Thursday, in violet, with rose permitted on the fourth Sunday, Laetare Sunday. The Gospels of the Samaritan woman, the man born blind and Lazarus belong to Year A but may be read in any year.

In the 1962 Missal Lent is prepared for by the three Sundays of Septuagesima, its first week has the Ember days, and its last two weeks, from Passion Sunday, are Passiontide.
