First ReadingEzekiel 9:1-7; 10:18-22

From the Book of Ezekiel

1Then he cried in my ears with a loud voice, saying, “Cause thosewho are in charge of the city to draw near, each man with his destroying weapon in his hand.”2Behold, six men came from the way of the upper gate, which lies toward the north, every man with his slaughter weapon in his hand. One man in the middle of them was clothed in linen, with a writer’s inkhorn by his side. They went in, and stood beside the bronze altar.

3The glory of the God of Israel went up from the cherub, whereupon it was, to the threshold of the house;and he called to the man clothed in linen, who had the writer’s inkhorn by his side.4The Lord said to him,“Go through the middle of the city, through the middle of Jerusalem, and set a mark on the foreheads of the men that sigh andthat cry over all the abominationsthat are done within it.”

5To the others he said in my hearing,“Go through the city after him, and strike.Don’t let your eye spare, neither have pity.6Kill utterly the old man,the young man, the virgin, little children and women;but don’t come near any man on whom is the mark.Begin at my sanctuary.”

Then they began at the old men who were before the house.

7He said to them, “Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain. Go out!”

They went out, and struck in the city.

some verses are not read18The Lord’s glory went out from over the threshold of the houseand stood over the cherubim.19The cherubim lifted up their wingsand mounted up from the earth in my sight when they went out, with the wheels beside them. Then they stood at the door of the east gate of the Lord’s house;and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.

20This is the living creaturethat I saw under the God of Israel by the river Chebar;and I knew that they were cherubim.21Every one had four faces, and every one four wings. The likeness of the hands of a man was under their wings.22As for the likeness of their faces, they were the faces which I saw by the river Chebar, their appearances and themselves. They each went straight forward.

Responsorial PsalmPsalm 113:1-2, 3-4, 5-6

1Praise the Lord!Praise, you servants of the Lord, praise the Lord’s name.2Blessed be the Lord’s name, from this time forward and forever more.

3From the rising of the sun to its going down, the Lord’s name is to be praised.4The Lord is high above all nations, his glory above the heavens.

5Who is like the Lord, our God,who has his seat on high,6who stoops down to see in heaven and on the earth?

GospelMatthew 18:15-20

From the Gospel according to Matthew

15“If your brother sins against you,go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother.16But if he doesn’t listen, take one or two more with you, that at the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.17If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the assembly. If he refuses to hear the assembly also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector.18Most certainly I tell you, whatever things you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever things you release on earth will have been released in heaven.19Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask,it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven.20For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them.”

EpistleLectio

Léctio Epístolæ beáti Pauli Apóstoli ad Corínthios.

1 Cor 15:1-10

Lesson from the first letter of St. Paul the Apostle to the Corinthians

1 Cor. 15:1-10

Brethren: I recall to your minds the Gospel that I preached to you, which also you received, wherein also you stand, through which also you are being saved, if you hold it fast, as I preached it to you - unless you have believed to no purpose. For I delivered to you first of all, what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day, according to the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Cephas, and after that to the Eleven. Then He was seen by more than five hundred brethren at one time, many of whom are with us still, but some have fallen asleep. After that He was seen by James, then by the Apostles. And last of all, as by one born out of due time, He was seen also by me. For I am the least of the Apostles, and am not worthy to be called an Apostle, because I persecuted the Church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace in me has not been fruitless.

GospelEvangelium

Sequéntia ☩ sancti Evangélii secúndum Marcum.

Marc 7:31-37

Continuation ☩ of the Holy Gospel according to Mark

Mark 7:31-37

At that time, Jesus departing from the district of Tyre came by way of Sidon to the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the district of Decapolis. And they brought to Him one deaf and dumb, and entreated Him to lay His hand upon him. And taking him aside from the crowd, He put His fingers into the man’s ears, and spitting, He touched his tongue. And looking up to heaven, He sighed, and said to him, Ephpheta, that is, Be opened. And his ears were at once opened, and the bond of his tongue was loosed, and he began to speak correctly. And He charged them to tell no one. But the more He charged them, so much the more did they continue to publish it. And so much the more did they wonder, saying, He has done all things well. He has made both the deaf to hear and the dumb to speak.

Common

It is truly meet and just, and profitable unto salvation, that we should at all times, and in all places, give thanks to Thee, O Holy Lord, Father Almighty, eternal God, through Christ, our Lord. Through whom the Angels praise Thy Majesty, the Dominions adore it, the Powers are in awe. Which the heavens and the hosts of heaven together with the blessed Seraphim joyfully do magnify. And do Thou command that it be permitted us to join with them in confessing Thee, while we say with lowly praise:
